If you build it, will they come?
Retail is the most easily disrupted and most easily enhanced sector of the property world when it comes to tech. Over the past several years we have seen millions of sq ft of retail space emptied as retailers collapse after not being able to keep up with a changing and more demanding consumer base. What can landlords, developers and retailers do to fill new space and refill emptied space using technology to design stores, understand consumers and ultimately capture sales.
EG’s Retail & Industrial Analyst James Child will kick-start this session with a 10-minute presentation on “Where Occupiers are Moving and Why”.
Stuart Harris, Commercial Director & Co-Founder, Queensberry Real Estate
John Miu, Chief Operating Officer, ABP London
Emma Mackenzie, Director, NewRiver Retail
Mark Sherwood, Director, Attis Asset Management / Consultant to House of Fraser
Chaired by: Samantha McClary, Deputy Editor, EG
